In 2019 we helped Dave Spelman and Max Thorpe with their nutrition and sleep as they prepared to row the Atlantic in the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge.

They would be alternating between each other on a continuous cycle of two-hour rowing shifts through the day and night, each burning over 9,000 calories every 24 hours for much of the race. They therefore needed calorie-dense, nourishing, easy-to-digest, practical, performance-enhancing nutrition that would be stable in even the most inclement conditions.

To meet this need, we developed early prototypes of our first product, Long Range Fuel, which Dave and Max relied on as they subsequently broke the world record, rowing approximately 3,000 miles in 37 days, 7 hours, and 54 minutes.

After working with Resilient: X in 2019, we fuelled six teams in the 2020 Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, including the top three teams across the line in the open class.
